12. Inside My Love - Minnie Riperton
After seeing Road Trip, I half expected the CD to be filled with classic rock songs, especially since Twisted Sister’s ‘I Wanna Rock’ makes its way into the album. But it turned out not to be the case instead it was a mixture of rock, rap, and alternative.
For fans of rap the soundtrack has Run DMC, and Kid Rock, alterative fans can hear Ween or Ash and rock fans can enjoy Twisted Sister and Buckcherry.
One of the biggest problems I have with this album that it is so inconsistent with the style of the music on it. Sure, the music is okay but it’s not great. In fact, the mixture may just turn people off because it is so all over the place.
To be honest, apart from a couple of tracks ‘I Wanna Rock’, The Eels ‘Mr E’s Beautiful Blues’ and Buckcherry’s ‘Anything’ I could easily skip the rest.
Not worth buying- just go to itunes and download the tracks you want and skip the rest.
I give it 1/5
