The Forgetting Sarah Marshall Soundtrack is a perfect combination to listen to after watching the film.
Like any good soundtrack, the music has been carefully selected to integrate with the plot of Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
Compiled solely of a collection of love-themed songs, the producers have brought together quite a different dynamic of artists. Ranging from the alt-rock acts (See Frank Black, and Belle & Sebastian) to vintage Reggae Artists (Desmond Dekker) , it certainly seems like a strange selection of artists on first listen, especially for those who have not seen the film.
Throw in a few Hawaiian artists such as The Coconutz and Aloha Sex Juice singing some of the biggest love songs of today (Nothing Compares 2 U and More Than Words). Add the film’s stars (especially Jason Segal on the muppet-like Dracula’s Lament) and you have a strangely put together, but very enjoyable album.
